Frequently Asked Questions

  • Forestry mulching is a single-step land clearing method. Instead of using bulldozers to push trees into burn piles, our high-flow machines grind vegetation right where it stands.

This process converts brush and trees into a nutrient-rich mulch layer that helps prevent soil erosion. It leaves a clean, "park-like" finish immediately, with no hauling and no burning required.

  • No. The benefit of mulching is that we process the material into the soil. This "Nutrient Cycling" enriches your land and prevents the erosion issues caused by traditional bulldozing. The mulch layer creates a stable driving surface and suppresses future weed growth.

  • Absolutely. Unlike a bulldozer which destroys everything in its path, our machinery is surgical. We can selectively clear underbrush, privet, and invasive species while carefully maneuvering around your "keeper" trees (oaks, maples, etc.) without damaging their root systems.

  • Absolutely. We carry comprehensive General Liability and equipment insurance. We are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to property owners or commercial contractors prior to starting any project. We run a professional operation and do not take risks with your property.

Pricing & Estimates

  • Because vegetation density and slope in Middle Tennessee varies wildly—from light brush to heavy timber—pastures to steep hills. Every project is bid to the specific project.

This ensures we take the time to produce a high-quality finish rather than rushing to hit an acreage number.number. For a standard overgrown lot, we can typically clear approx. 1 acre per day, but we need to see the terrain to give you a firm estimate.

  • Yes. Due to the cost of floating heavy equipment to a job site, we have a Mobilization Fee and a minimum daily charge.

If you only have a single stump or a small garden bed to clear, a landscape crew or tree service will likely be a more cost-effective option for you. We are best suited for projects ranging from 1/2 acre to 50+ acres.

  • Here on our website you cant submit a form or call our office at 615-669-3448. In most cases, we will schedule a site visit to walk the property with you before finalizing a quote.

What to Expect (Expectation Management)

  • Our mulchers grind vegetation flush with the ground so you can mow over it with a standard tractor or zero-turn mower.

If you need stumps ground deep below the surface (sub-grade) or removed completely for building foundations, let us know and we can accommodate.

  • Mulching is the best "First Strike" against invasive species like Chinese Privet and Bush Honeysuckle. We knock it down to the ground instantly.

However, because these plants have aggressive root systems, some regrowth is natural in the spring. We recommend a follow-up maintenance plan (mowing or spraying) 6 months after the initial clearing to keep the land reclaimed permanently.

  • We run high-flow Compact Track Loaders (CTLs) equipped with forestry drum mulchers. We choose track machines because they have low ground pressure, meaning we don't rut up your property like a wheeled tractor or skidder would.

  • We treat our estimates as a consulting session, not a sales pitch. When our we arrive, we will walk the property lines with you to fully understand your vision.

We identify hazards (rocks, steep grades), discuss which specific trees you want to "selectively clear" versus "keep," and establish a clear Scope of Work. This ensures that when our crew arrives, there is no guessing—only execution.

  • Yes. While we can look at a property alone, land clearing is subjective. Being there allows you to tag specific "keeper trees" and show us exactly where you want the clearing line to stop. This ensures the final quote matches your exact expectations.
